Krambo,what is your exhaust set-up?How can cats hurt your engine?

The Kenne Bell can actually gain airflow (boost) from the removal of the cats. They restrict it even at relatively low boost levels like 8 psi.

Its all custom. Full dual 3" with an X pipe and dual 3" magnaflows, side exit, ASM headers. I "had" the metal substrate cats in there as well however do not now Clogged or Melted cats cause alot of problems...that is what I was speaking to. When you get the cats hot and have unburnt fuel going through them (rich AFR) damage will occur. Other than restriction in your exhaust set-up, cats are fine and are needed for emmissions.
