Default Catback for Dad's truck (1500 2wd ex-cab 5'8" bed)

My Dad has an 06 Silverado, 1500 2wd Extended cab but with the 5-foot-8-inch bed (this is not a normal exteneded cab, but rather a new-for-06 configuration where they put the short crew-cab bed on an extended cab). Making this truck even weirder is the fact that it has a torsion bar (4wd-style) front end.

Anyway, he wants a catback for it. On his previous trucks he's had Magnaflow single-in-single-out catbacks and has been mostly happy with them, but he didn't like the 2000RPM drone. So I was just curious if there is anything out there that has a similar volume to the Magnaflow minus that cruise-rpm drone. He's wanting something that shows up in a box and bolts on (don't think he'll go for something custom).

Thanks much for any suggestions!

Id say go with the corsa. Are you saying that the crew cab on the new trucks is on a ex cab chassis?

That is the same problem that im running into on my new crew cab. I have the vortec max 6.0 in a 2wd crew cab but the exhaust is weird. Its a dual in and out muffler. Its the same setup as on the SS im thinking. I might just order the SS corsa kit and see if it fits.

I'd check out B&B or Corsa.

I agree with Jared, I can't hear mine when I'm on the freeway.
