what clued you in? I have the carsound cats too but not sure if they metallic or ceramic. I would think I'd know it with resistance or sound?

im just getting too good at working on these engines.

broken flexplate, then broken lifter (and toasted cam) and now the cats....all in about a month

excuse to go dual 3 now...did not really like the sound of the 4" anyway.

interestingly enough, it turns out that the Z06 vettes burn out cats all the time.

Sadly, this is not the first report of trouble with these cats.

Something I posted up on the subject awhile back. Wish I knew what brand they are.

you need the ones that have the ceramic catalyst. If you go 3" you need the 54959. My converters that I got from stainlessworks lasted about a day and they had the metal catalyst that looked like yours...............uh before. One looked like a crushed ber can and the other I never found but my muffler had shards of aluminum foil that ended up clogging it.
