Default Cat Delete Y pipe

Just wondering if anyone knew if they made a y-pipe without cat's in it?

Don't think there is any aftermarket company's making anything that will bolt to stock manifolds. You can get one from GM that they put on trucks for export. The PN is 15045260 and is $206 plus shipping from GM parts direct.

I wonder if it has all 4 O2 sensor bungs? Even if it does how would the computer react to the rear readings with out the cats. I realize that if there are only fron O2 bungs I would have to use O2 sims or have them turned off with tuning.

Any insight?

I have not seen the either of the y-pipes in person. But you would definately have to turn off the rear o2's or get sims.

Any suggestions on where to get sims? How expensive are they?

I plan on having a tune done in a couple of months and will have the rear O2's truned off but I may install a y-pipe before then.

someone was selling them for 50 bucks for the set in the classifieds, thats half off of new, but just go with the tune, since you can do so much more. you can run the truck without the rear 02's, just put a piece of tape over your SES light

As a matter of fact, I have just got one delivered. It has all 4 bungs, and is not flattened. The only thing is that the loose flange is backwards and can't be flipped on this one. Someone would have to cut and re-weld the pipe...DOH
May fix it, may return it, don't know yet.

Thanks for the info. Please let me know your opinion on this when it's installed.
