Default Can u say KABOOOOM!!!!!!

Hey guys the other day my fuel pump crapped out so i decided to drop the tank and see what the problem was and to my surprise the two wires that run to the top of the fuel pump were melted together and exposed, is this some kind of defect and if so will GM cover the price i paid for a new one ($300), oh yeah one thing i have no more warranty

Hey man, if the wires aren't actually inside the tank, maybe you can just repair them and get a refund on the pump.

I went thru 4 fuel pumps on my '96 truck before the dealer found the problem....all of it was under warantee also. It is pretty scarey when you see burn marks on the inside of the gas tank

nope these were on the inside of the tank and since they were touching and stuck together my ecm-b fuse kept blowing out and the truck would die
