Default can someone check my pushrod length math please

this is my first time actually measuring everything and not just doing what the math on paper says.

this is using a COMP adjustable pushrod checker with solid lifters in place.

here's my math:
9.5 turns on comp adjustable pushrod to reach zero lash.

9.5 turns on adjustable pushrod checker*.050 for each turn=.475+6.8 collapsed adjustable pushrod=7.27+.075 prelaod =7.345" pushrod.

sooooo if my math is correct, a 7.35" pushrod will be perfect for my combo right?

i still havent checked my PTV clearance. but i can now turn my motor over without the valves contacting the piston. i need to get some checker springs and get the degree wheel hooked up. that method just seems more accurate than clay to me

Your math is right. Lifter is on the heel of the cam right?

Degree wheel is more precise, and Id want to cut the bare minimum out of those pistons especially since you plan on choking that motor with a metric ton of nitrous. I need to reread the procedure on using the degree wheel to check PTV, been a long *** time since Ive done it.

yeah i set the lash on the base circle, turned the motor over a few times and checked again. the degree wheel will go on when i measure the PTV clearance.

clay method shows .070 clearance on intake and .120 on exhaust. but after doing it, i dont like the clay method lol. it doesnt seem like it would be as accurate. getting some checker springs to check it with a dial indicator this week.

ill probably just end up cutting the intake side .030 incase i ever want to bump the cam size.
