Hmmm...I wonder if there's a gap between the header collector and the collector flange that wasn't welded all the way around.

Hmm well some mexicans at the local exhaust shop did the welding so it wouldn't suprize me but they usually do a great job for cheap.

I guess I'll be ordering up some V-band clamps and buying Corey some fancy dinner for the labor

I used to think the mexican shop I took my truck to did a good job untill I re did my exhaust and found a massive leak where he didnt weld about a 2 in section on the top of the pipe-collector. Theres GOT to be an English speaking shop to do it near you. Mine is about a 20 min drive one way but its worth it for the work that he did. No cats, no receipt, understood everything I told him and asked for. Trust me its worth the extra money and drive

Shot a quick video, the audio quality doesn't really capture how loud it is because my exhaust muffles it, and the speaker kindof echos the sound, but you kinda get the idea

it's thin metal, so stuff gets amplified. With my headers it sounded like I had a real bad engine knock on the underside....put the stock stuff back on for the time being and it's all gone.

Your may or may not be leaking, take it apart and look for black soot....

This will cure all your problems and it is a hell of alot easier to take apart and put back together....

Best way to check if you have an actual leak is to have a friend plug the exhaust at the tailpipe(s) with a handful of rags, and the sound should amplify and change pitch. You'll also be able to feel it then too.

It's such a damn bitch to take mine apart because the idiot welded them where there is 1 bolt at the top and you can hardly get to them. And the welds are so thick that you can hardly fit a socket or wrench on them.
