Default Can anyone help me on tires

i have to get new tires...right now i have Cooper Zeon 295/45/20 i got great mileage out of them but the only problem well there are two. The first problem is that water leaves horrible water streaks on the tires i mean its bad i guess the way the tread pattern is and very ugly the second problem is that since i lowered my truck the front tires will rub my front fenders pretty bad...so i think next tire im going is 275/45/20...or 285/45/20

what is a good tire company i dont want go to nitto or goodyear, the brand im leaning toward is Falken tire anyone have those tires? thanks, chris

Man those r some HUGE tires on 20's. My friend had 255/35/20 on 20x8.5 lexani's and they were thin and looked great. Why 20's on a fullsize? Man i would have went wit dub duces or dub four.

well see i want 35 series but the roads in Houston are shitty...and since 35 is so small on sidewall id be afraid of bending a rim...also i like to have some rubber 255 is not enough...i want 22's but not 24's...

I understand that completely. I would say go with a 265/40/20 or 275's

see thats another issuse....ive looked at alot of tires and my dad's buddy owns a tire shop thats where ive gotten eveything and going to get my new tires. anyways he said 40 series is a odd-ball tire that very few tire companys make a 40 series and if they do most likely it wouldn't be that good..i dont mind the extra sidewall so most likely im going to with with 275/45/20

anyone else have any input on a good tire brand and sizes?

i am running 275 45 20 hankook ventus and they are very nice tires with a nice tread pattern.the only thing is that i might go a littler smaller next time 265 40 20.but will definatly buy the same brand.

while i still have the 16 inch stocker wheels i am running falken stz04's. granted, i can't give you the feel that you want since our sizes are diff but for what i paid i am happy with the performance of them. they do handle nice and wet traction is great. there is a guy on here selling a slightly used set for a very very nice price. if he still has them.

just to play devils advocate, i would look at kumho (sp) ecsta stx also. supposed to be even better traction wet and dry. bad thing, they tend to run out of rubber early and are noisy from the reviews i have read on tirerack.
