Put the cam in got good all pressure, the lifters werent piriming and were ticking very loud, gave it a bit of gas and boom no oil pressure. To me that seems like a spun cam bearing due to dinging the cam bearing during installation of the cam. What I dont understand is, this is the first time this motor has had a cam swap on it, it has about 99K miles on it, it is a 99 model, and the cam was inserted the same way I have done many times. Just wondering if anyone has a suggestion before I start pulling the motor.

just cam and springs were changed thats it. When I primed it with teh coil packs unplugged and fuel relay removed it built oil pressure, started it up and it had very good oil pressure(60ish at idle), the lifters were loud as hell so I revved it up a bit(~3K) and started hearing a loud knocking, shut it off and it had no oil pressure. I think its a spun cam bearing

Yeah it is what seals to oil both galleys, I didnt really pay attention but I think it should be fine. Going to tear it back down tomorrow and inspect the journals to see if I can tell if it is spun or not. This sucks, I just dont understand I did it the same way I ahve done many times with good results.
