Default Cam swap 5.3?

So whats the cam of choice for the 5.3l? Has anyone tried the small comp cam 206/212-.515/.522 112 LSA? If so with a cam that small what valve train components do you have to change?

Dont know of anyone thats tried that one. Many have tried the next sze up - comps 212/218 with good results.

You will need to replace the valve springs, nothing else. 2001 LS6 springs are cheap and would work fine. If you need a set, email me. I have some.
