You had no idea what you were getting into. hahaha
The 4.3 heads need work done to them to accept any decient sized cam. Thats why they only list 3 for FI models. But once you get it all dont the benifits will be nice.

When you get it in and tuned, let me know how you like it. Im thinking about that one too. Its on a 114LSA so it should idle fairly smooth. And the lift is .500/.510. Cant wait to hear the results. Good luck.

So I have to have the heads machined out for this cam? Or just for the springs? ****. I was hoping I wouldn't have to do anything like that. Looks like it's time to find some junk yard heads and have them machined. Thanks for the help yall. Keep it coming.

I believe just for the springs. Call the comp cams tech support line and ask the pros. They would have a better answer for you than most of us will. I think you may only have to machine the heads to get the dual spring setups to fit, but i'm not 100%.

I might as well have the heads ported while they are out. Thanks for the help yall. Any ida on how much it would cost to have them machined out for the springs? How bout just a mild clean up job on them? Thanks.

with those springs you have to machine the heads to accept the larger diameter. I was in the same problem so I picked up a set of heads and p+p them. the cam install on a 4.3 s-10 is about 12hrs

screw jacking with the 4.3 what it will cost you you could drop a v8 in their. p&p the heads, macjining, time and part for cam swap. I would just buy a new engine and be done with it. remember this is only my opinion and I also have had a v6 in a fullsize(it was less the adequate.
