Default cam and rockers

if I do a .514 cam, 1.7 rockers, and some slight head work is 350 hp a good ball park figure on a 2003 4.8L? Id more than likely be going hyd. roller and double roller on the timing chain at the same time, tho they wont do much for power, just make a stronger overall package.

Thanks

Do the cam and keep your stock rockers for now. With the money saved (and a bit more) get some long tube headers and a tune. Should be get you close to 310+RWHP range IMO.

the thing is that I have some credit with jegs and thats what i plan to spend it on. Headers are out of the question right now as I need to get some custom made to clear my suspension (long travel off road setup).

I dunno bout 350 unless that cam + rockers + headwork = about 100HP.

I know most modded 4.8's dyno around 250

Talking

your rockers are 1.7. and with a cam and bolt on's. no i dont think that 310 is reachable. not without some good exhaust and a heck of a lot of tuning.

depending on the cam and how light of headwork you are talking about that might even be hard to achieve with a 5.3 (350) so if it works out good luck at let us know

visionxorb....its a camburg setup. www.camburg.com The thing is that im am planning on going to a bypass and coilover and the hoop to hold both of those would get in the way of most headers...or so ive been told, but it makes snese once all the front end cage work is done. There are already issues with the master cylinder and booster clearing. Its going to me more cutting than I would like to do on a new truck.

Everyone else...thanks for the input. I lurk on this site a lot and knew I could get answers here.
