Since it's my truck I'm going to jump in and say you could definitely tell there was a cam in there. It loped really nice. In fact, the Futral 218/228 .564"/.577" 116LSA loped almost identically to the Comp 216/220 .525/.532 114LSA that I have in now.

Here's a sound clip with the Spin Tech Sportsman Street XL single 3" in/3" out muffler on a 5.3l with the Futral cam, Throley Tri-Y's, no cats, 3" pipe dumped before rear axle:

The same setup with cats:

But to agree with your second statement, that's exactly what the cam was designed for was to have a good wide powerband.

I don't want the motor to stop spinnign at 4500. all Im saying is that I don't need a cam that makes great power at 6K. Never going to get it there. I am just looking for a cam that peaks at or near 5K.

I don't want to keep trying to talk you into mine (or appear like I am). You may want to call Futral though and see what they would think of it for your setup. I think it would give you what you're looking for. When I was beginning my mods, they heavily recommended the 218/228.
