Default cam installed

everything went well the only question is I dont know if this is the right section but since i did the cam I dont have lock up any more in the trans. my check engine light is on but thats probably misefire code from the cam. is it a tuning problem or a converter problem, i just put that converter in a week ago. anybody had this problem.
thanks

converter lockup is determined electronically, however if you are recieving a misfire code, the computer won't allow the converter to lock, which is probably your issue - so basically get the tune right and your troubles should be over

what does it mean when the check engine light is blinking. does it mean that the fault is occuring now.

the TC will go into lock-up after ~3200rpm without a detected misfire. so if you drove it say at highway speeds for a few minutes it should go into lock-up.

ask allen to bump up the misfire thresholds and that should help out.

all i know is if your SES light is blinking shut your truck down because whatever is going on could damage your engine.

Hopefully by now youve checked your codes but if not do not crank your truck.Obviously if your truck is in the hood or something and you cant get a tow then maybe. Yeah blinking is not good. How was it running? Keep us posted.

blinking is a random misfire occuring

just scan the codes to be sure nothing else is coming up, if it's a random misfire you can ignore it until you get it tuned, cams tend to set off a random misfire so don't sweat it...

My random misfire light is always on from my cam, but I've never seen it flash, except a long time ago when I drove through a puddle with a frayed plug wire. You must have some serious misfires going on there.
