Default Cam Idle help

Just put the cam in sunday and like it so far its the comp 212/218 .522/.529 on 114 cam. Just wondering if there is any way to relearn idle without having it tuned just yet. It idles at 550 and needs to go up to 750 for it not to turn on my ses light. My ses light comes on because it is picking up misfire at that low of a rpm. When i raise it to 750 it runs good and doesnt pick up misfires. Any help would be great. The truck is an 04 with electronic throttle control.

hmm.. well nothing is really effective w/o a tune for that situation.. it will slowly relearn... but never be perfect.

Get a torx bit, size 10 I think, and unscrew the throttle set screw all the way out, and screw it back in from the top so you can adjust it with ease. Set the idle with the throttle body to desired RPMs, turn off truck. Unplug TPS sensor, turn the truck to ign on (dont start it), count to 20, turn the ignition back off, plug in TPS sensor, start the truck and let it relearn idle. Should be able to bandaid the cam for the time being.
