I PULL A TRAVEL TRAILER THAT ABOUT 10,000 LBS GROSS BUT I ONLY MOVE ABOUT 2 TIMES A YEAR. I WANT A NICE SOUND A POWER IN MOST OF THE RPM LEVEL...

both would be fine, i might go with the 210/218 if i were towing, and a small lockup style converter.....
the 114+ LSA's will be easier to tune, rather than 110 or 112 LSA.... they require more tuning..

hey sickREDsierra how do you like 212/218 comp cam... does it sound good and gives good power... I talked to guy working on there trucks in texas city, texas and he has a four door full size chevy truck with a ls-1 with 228/230 .581/? 112lsa... It sound like a demond but i think it is to much noise for me even though they are using them on the street... I do not what to go to small with the cam but i have never built up and ls engine and do not know how far to push the cam... by the way the travel trailer is 950 lbs toung weight. These guy recomemended i get 4.10 gear to help with the bigger tire and retune with hp. I am planning in a cam, springs, push rods, timing chain and a converter...

i LOVE my setup, i tow a bassboat regularly, and race on the weekends. big converters/cams are nice to race all the time with, in a big cube application, but my 4.8 wouldnt like a huge 224+ cam.... mine pulls hard to 6500 rpm, and the power band is great. it starts around 2400ish..... which my converter covers nicely, and makes good, useable power to 6500...
just depends on your goals as to what you need. i wanted a low 13 second 1/4 miler that could pull my boat and look good, and i got it.
of course, i had to add nitrous to get to my desired speed, but when i turn it off and drive normal, i still get 17-18 mpg city, and 20 hwy.

I Called Pyle Bros, From Bay Town,tx And Asked About Changing The 3.73 To 4.10 And He Said It Will Only Make A Hundred Rpm Diffence For $1,600 For The New Ring And Pinions For Both Front And Rear... Will The 4.56 Be To Much, That Will Over Do It... I Herd A Vhp 045 216/224 On U-tube And I Sounds Good But What About Performance... The Shop That Will Install The Cam And Do The Tuning Told Me To Get 112 Lsa And The Vhp 045 Comes In 115 Lsa Do Not Know If To Get It Ground To A 112 Lsa... Does Any Body Use This Cam On 4x4's.. I Just What To Be Satified With What I Buy...

I A'm Trying To Get 300 Rwhp Or Better With The Cam And Tune Change Is It Posible... Right Now I Have 230 Rwhp And 282 Tq... I Am Trying To Get As Much Info Before I Buy Any Cam... The Installer Wants Me To Buy A 216/224 .551/.551 Lsa 112* And He Says He Can Tune It Very Good... I Have Seen Some Nice Work That He Has Done... I See Where Vhp Has An 113* Lsa For Cars But It Says It Is For Stick Shifts... I Seen The Sound Clips On The Trucker And It Sounds Nice... I See Where You Have 42lb Injectors, Will I Have To Change Mine Out, I Also Do Not Have Stall Yet But It Will Be Soon...

tdrumm got either close to or over 300 rwhp out of his 5.3 with the Vinci Asp Kicker (210/218 .551 112), PCMforLess tune, ASM LT's, and the other normal bolt ons. He now has WCCH Stage 1 heads, ported throttle body, and 05 e-fans which dynoed at 315 rwhp and 350 tq IIRC. (He also has trans and rear upgrades that haven't been on the rollers yet, and a new cam to come)

I Have Read Where Some Guy That Have Used The Cam On N/a Start To Drop Hp @ 56oo Rpm And The Smaller Cam Are Still Making Power... My Z71 Suburban Is Heavy And I Do Not Think I Will Be Turning Any Thing Over 6000 Rpm Anyway But Do Not Know...
