Default motor help got $2500 to spend

looking to buy a cam. need some help.want the most power. it s going in a 5.3 with a 3000 stall and 150 shot of nitrous.

Duration @ 050" Lift: Intake 222, Exhaust 224
Advertised Duration: Intake 275, Exhaust 277
Valve Lift with 1.7 Rockers Intake .566, Exhaust .568
Lobe Separation 112

or

Duration @ 050" Lift: Intake 228, Exhaust 230
Advertised Duration: Intake 281, Exhaust 283
Valve Lift with 1.7 Rockers Intake .571, Exhaust .573
Lobe Separation 112

any other suggestions are welcome.

I'm not great with cams but I think the first one would be better for your 5.3L... The 2nd one will have you spinning it too high to make real power. I wouldn't go any bigger than my 226 if I had to choose a new one.

I would recommend going with a 114 lobe separation. It would be benifitial for you to call up Thunder Racing, or any other experienced cam grind tech. and ask them for some advice on a custom grind for your nitrous motor.

ok dont you have a procharger on that thing?

1999 chevy silverado RCSB. Procharger P1SC,12lb pulley, Ls1 edit, cutout,eaton posi,3.73.

i think you will need to stay with a high lsa so you dont have loss of boost. isnt this your mods? i would call thunder or get bigtex to help out on that one. i think another good cam for boost is the lingerfelter gt2 cam.

good eye. i just sold my procharger last week. im looking to make my truck fast again. i cant stand driving a stock truck.
