Default cam to go with my mods

well first of all i have a 2005 chevy silverado ext cab 5.3 L my old mods were basically the same except i had shortie headers and cats with intake true dual exhaust and the custom tune but now my new current mods are Pacesetter long tube headers, True dual exhaust (dynomax bullets) and with magnaflow x pipe, and no cats, AEM intake and a custom dyno Tune at synergy motorsports, and my next mod im plans is a cam. I need help choosing a cam , which would be a good cam and why . how would the lopes be ? and drivability is sorta of an issue

i would be looking for a stall first. how big you are willing to go with a stall would depend on your cam decision. (driveability, gas mileage, etc)

tr220 and a 3k stall isn't a bad choice, it's pretty driveable and gets good power. you're going to have to get a torque converter for sure if you wanna get a decent cam.
the lope with the tr220 112lsa is good. anything with good lift/duration over 218 and 112 lsa is going to give you a good lope at idle, the high the LSa the less you can hear it lope.

216/224 .551 115LSA Vinci Trucker cam. I current have basically the same mods as you with stock stall and 3.23 gears. I drive my truck 60 miles a day and get 19-21 mpg...I think the TT3000 will compliment it very nicely...

I hate to make his head even bigger but he's right...As far as driveability goes, thats all in the tune. He did a hell of a job and mine drives like stock...Till you mash the gas

Good advice by everyone. If you're willing to do the converter also I'd go with the TR224 or maybe even bigger depending on how much mileage is an issue. Otherwise a lot of people have had very nice results from the trucker cams with no stall.
