The description for the 3000 does sound right. How will it behave behind my little 5.3L?

The Yank TT3000 is about perfect for a 5.3.I ran one back when I had a 4L60E and no supercharger. It will feel a little loose for the first hundred miles, while the PCM adjusts to the change in stall, then you'll think you truck should have come with the stall. It's about the best bang for the buck mod you'll find.

I think i'm convinced then. A Yank TT3000 to install before the cam.
How many hours is normal for a convertor install?

If you notice, he has a 4x4. It's going to be on the high end of that range or above.

I paid $470 in labor to have mine changed.

The guy that put my FLT and Dacco in charged me $210 and he got it done in like 8 hours.

You will love the 3k stall, 4wd launches at 3k are the best! lol

it will be fine behind the 5.3 and when you finnaly do cam it, it will be even better. I say go with a 212/218 or 216/220 if you are not trying to set any records with it. But is you are then the biggest I'd go with a 5.3 in an ext cab is 222/222.
