Default cam choices

I have a 01 Z06 cam/springs for my 03" 5.3 ECSB Silverado. I am concerned the cam will be low on TQ for towing my 20FT enclosed and Z28.

would someone suggest this cam or a different cam for better torque

I just don't have time for testing now

thanks

Larry

People that have used the 01 Z06 cam have complained about loosing a bunch of torque below 3000rpms. If all you want is torque, there is a 206/212 comp cam and I think it was crane cams that had just come out with something like a 208/208. I have a 208/216 Crane Cam--.530/.530lift--113LSA and I love it. It needs tuning though. You can feel the difference in torque at about 1800-2000rpms.

thanks guys

I will be looking in to a cam in the range of the TR they just tested. I can't afford to lose any torque with towing this trailer and car.

Trevor at TSP was going to install a Comp XE 212/212 .558 114 +4 in his 2500HD. But that idea was dropped when hw traded it in on a new DMAX. I liked that 212 cam for a 6L.
