Default cam to big?

ok already did tons of research on cams and even bought one but a buddy told me its to big and has the wrong torque range. trucks a 2004 5.3 avalanche so its pretty heavy. i have a tr224r with 112lsa but its not installed yet. i bought a 3200 stall tc to go with it. do yall think its the wrong cam? should i go with something with more low end. ive talked to many people on here about this cam and they all said they loved it.

Should run pretty good with 4.10 gears. A little too big for an avalanche though, they are pretty heavy. If you tow, I would get a smaller cam.

Shouldn't be that bad though...I would put it in, go big or go home.

I have that cam in my SSS.
I would like more converter, I currently have a TBTC and its not stalling like it used to.
You will need tuning, more if it an auto.
I dont have the slips but if I could get my old 60'=1.9 vs my new 60'=2.1 then my new faster MPH thru the traps would give me a good time. I have not had that good 60 so my times are consistent.
you will need springs, I say get the Z06 ones they are more quiet than the 918's

I'm cam shopping for an Avalanche right now and that's quite a bit larger than what I'm considering.

A 6000# beast needs some bottom end torque.
