I plan on a 2200-2400 stall or so, I was thinking of looking at the Z06 cam also, I like the looks of the tsp sleeper 220* & .581" I think it'll pull real good. The LS1 i heard it in idles almost like a stocker. anyways thanks for the replies!!

Unless I missed it ,i didnt see what you have for a truck, for anyone to make a good recommendation I think it would be important to know what it is, a 2x4 SWB with 3.73 or a Z71 with 3.42s and 35" tires.Or something in between

The 205/212 I got is ideal for off-idle torque all the way to redline. It looks like it added 15-25 RWHP across the entire powerband. One of my main requirements was that no stall be required, and it's not. I get neck-snapping torque from 600 RPM's on upward....it really does pay to get a cam ground especially for your requirements.

Only reason I suggested, the TR220 is becuase my friend has it and it has very good street manner and pulls harder than my 212/218.

Yeah, that really was the big issue for me. I originally planned on the larger Lunati cam and a T/C, but decided to go milder on the cam and forego the stall. My truck already gives me a lot of fun and I'm just trying to squeeze a little more from it without pushing the envelope.

After 34 years of solid employment, I lost my job to foreign trade in November. My wife graciously agreed to let me spend some of my severance $$$ on the headers, cam, and reworked heads but since I don't know how long it will be before I can go to work again, I figured I'd walk on the mild side and try not to break anything!

My 212/218 wa sput in 3 days ago and I dynoed it yesterday. I went from 252rwhp before cam to 276rwhp after the cam and that was with 20's on rather than before when I had the 16's which may acount for a small small number. That is also without tuning and it includes 160 stat, springs, and pushrods. Like I said earlier if it wasnt for the n2o I would have gotten the 220 probably!

It's a '03 reg cab sb Z71 w/ 3.73's. I'm actually thinking of passing on the heads and going with just cam, exhaust (true duals), TC, and a tune. save some money, and I don't want to get into anything like I did with my chevelle. Basically I spent way too much time and money on my motor and now I have a car that hauls ***, but no drivetrain to handle it,whoops (broken wheel studs, blown out posi, broken pinion yoke) I just don't want to make the same mistake with my truck, horsepower is more addictive than crack!!!

Why dont you check out my dyno graph. Im a huge fan of the 220. I was the guinea pig for this cam in a 5.3. Made some damn impressive numbers for a cam only
