Default Cam?

I am having trouble deciding if i should have my cam installed or should i do it myself. My tuner will get me a custom grind comp cam, springs, pushrods, install, and HPT with dyno for around $1000. $400 out that is just for labor for installing the cam. So my question is should i do the cam swap myself and just have him tune it or is it to much of a headache to deal with?

Thumbs up Nice!!

As a tech myself i think thats a great deal, i mean if u have done a few
cam swaps then u could save 400bucks i can understand that but if ur
a novice wrench, then thats a dam good price!!! Think about it, Hes going
through the valvetrain, remapping, and Dyno not bad not bad at all!

Its an 8 hour job in the garage. but that is a low price, just the parts, gaskets, and hardware cost me $800 for my swap

that sounds like a good deal to me, i did mine myself and i didn't think it was to hard. we have a nice shop with all the tools and i spent 6-8 hours on mine, but if you have never done it before i would just let them do it for a grand.
