Im gonna be getting a cam after dec and im still wondering which cam to get. Id like it to be fairly streetable. I am looking at the tr 224 58... 112 cam. Anybody have any other sugg.. please chime in. Keep in mind i have a 5 spd so no converter needed. Mods in sig..

tr224 112 would run good in it..maybe that 226 in the classifieds if you wanted to be a lill more frisky with it

A TR220 in a 5.3 is a large cam.Streetable yes but still a large cam.In a 4.8 a 224 is gonna be extremely large.I wouldn't go over a 220 in that small engine.

I disagree..
the 224 is by no means to big for a 4.8L...
in fact, I havnt seen one yet that performs as good as this cam does, in the 4.8L
just takes a little more effort in getting it tuned, nomore than a 5.3L with a 224 on a 112
