that's my point. I just wouldn't lose sleep over choosing which intake. Most people who say they "noticed an increase" drive bone stock trucks.

we need to get someone to flow the stock tube and maybe even the box just to see. cause if the stock tube can flow 700 cfm or more i'm sticking to stock with a good filter and a mod to the box.

Well I will put in my .02 now.......I have ramair, look in sig. My truck consumes the same amount of air that a turbo/supercharged 5.3 @ WOT running 5lbs of boost. Could I do this with a stock box sucking out of the fire wall and going through all that **** to which it reaches the TB.......??????........I doubt it. Modified or not.

I could be wrong but just my .02.

I have the airraid piece that connects from the maf to the throttle body.
I bought it becuase rats chewed a hole in my stock one.

I did notice anything besides a slightly diffrent sound.

I have efilive but havent really tried to compare the two.
I need to. But should I do it with manifold pressure? It stays about a psi from barometric untill like 4000rpms+ then drops to about 4psi under barometric.

Ill see if I can test them and get back on which is better.
But my stock one has some holes in it if that matters.

Just get an Outlaw for $250 shipped and call it a day. It already has a 4" hole in the airbox, so if you want ram air later just buy some PVC pipe. There's no need to put so much thought in a cold air intake, thats for Hondas.

I have a 2004 yukon denali and i put a k&n cold air in about one month ago. The result i saw was a lot more noise! I put back the stock intake tube and left the k&n air box and cone filter and the truck to me respond's a lot better and for crisp! I'm staying with the stock intake tube and leavingthe the k&n box and filter. It is the perfect match i think and it's not so damn loud.

Yeah, too sum it up I kpt the sock bottom box and a UPD lid with a stock filter. Getting cold air in from the outside ot the engine bay is better than under the hood air.
