Default CAI ? for 6.0

I am doing a 6.0 swap, I want to get a K&N cai but do not know if they will interchange. The block came out of a 03' 6.0 and I have a 00' 5.3 rcsb. The filter elements are they same number, and K&N support is closed till monday, Does any one have any input on this? Is the dimensions different or fitment difference(as far as the tube goes)?

When I did my swap I had an 02 5.3 with the K&N for the 5.3 when I swapped the 6.0 everything was fine between a 5.3 and a6.0 the intake manifolds are pretty much identical if it's a truck motor . Now if it's a LS2 then I don't know . But this web site is great sure someone will chime in.

The 2003 and the 2000 4.8,5.3, and 6.0 have the same throttle body and intake manifold. It'll fit just fine.

That's good to know. I guess the different part numbers are a way to make us pay more for it. Even though they are probably the same. Thanks to all for a quick response.

I would order an Airraid MIT for the year model of your truck and drop in a performance filter and do the airbox mod. Save yourself a couple hundred bucks!
