CA Exhaust?
#1
Ok guys, I have a 99Z28 right now that I'm selling for a 2002 Silverado 5.3L. I am no stranger to CA smog and exhaust regulations, I've dealt with them for four years with my car. On F-bodies, you can't put in LT headers because they move the location of the cats. However, do LT's on trucks move the cats? The truck I am getting has a Flowmaster 40 series on it. I am thinking if going with duals or something like that, but I want to check out my options first, thanks!

Yes, long throws move the cats. There used to be another option, The Other Guys (TOG), who made mid-lengths. The piece was very nice but they went out of business. They went right up to the cats and welded up. Now all you have for options are: (1) shorties, which are not worth the time, or (2) illegal.
