OK, Im getting ready for my cam install. I just have a few things I need some help with. After I get the cam in will I need to a bunch of tuning with LS1Edit or will I be ok witt he stock PCM program? Friend told me I will need to drill out the hole in my TB butterfly to accomodate for the idle. Would it also be a good idea to change the pushrods and valve springs while Im in there? Anyone else who has done a cam in a 5.3, what all did you do after the install to get your truck running good? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It should lope pretty good. I have a little LS6 cam, and it idles like stock, so I needed nothing else with it. I am interested in hearing your results. Please post them up when you get finished with the install.

I AM TRYING TO DECIDE ON A CAM FOR MY TRUCK. EITHER GM'S HOT CAM 525 & 525LIFT 219 INT. 228 EX@ 112 OR THE GEN3 CAM. COMP SAID TO TRY A 214@50 WITH 522 AND 529. I AM GOINGT O USE THE LS6 SPRINGS. I BOUGHT SOME EDLEBROCK HEADERS AND A A.T. RELOCATER FOR IT. I STILL PULL A HEAVY LOAD FROM TIME TO TIME {5000 LBS}, SO I KNOW I DONT NEED A HUGE CAM BUT I WANT TO HEAR IT AS WELL. WHAT DO I DO?
