Piece by piece. Starting with the engine Block. I hope to get a couple of years out of my little 5.3L to do this the right way.
I want to stay with stock appearance for legal reason so I'm limited to the LS1 or LS2 aluminum blocks. I have been informed that the LS1 is limited in bore size but the LS2 can be bored/stroked to 402 reliably.
So, how cheap can I get an LS2 Block and where?

Im confused? you wantr to stay with stock appearance. Going with an aluminum block wont be doing that.
You can bore a 5.3l to a 5.7l and some have been able to make them a 383. Then you would still have you "stock" appearance.
ANd I think you have to make or get a diff wiring harness for the ls2 block.

You are crazy Bill! The 112 will probably have trouble supporting more than 7-8 psi on a 402. Might want to think about the 122 for this combo, it would definately be sweet and let you run more boost without losing effeciency.
