bought a cam

Sure, but way up in the 6000 range. My 224 cam doesn't start making a positive increase in power over my stock cam until 3500+ and really comes on at 4500. This in the L33 5.3 with a 3000 stall.
Is this your DD? I am not very cam smart but i think that's too much for a DD 4.8.

600 lift is tomuch for a set of LS6 springs IMO.
double beehive springs would be a most.
and I agree tuning is going to be hell..
you would need a sit and drive tune..
mail order isnt going to get anywhere close..

yea its the DD but i work at home and just go out mainly on weekends sometimes during the week. i really bought it for a 6.0L when i get it, but i wanted to see what it would do in a 4.8L. i think that it would be very badass in the 4.8 if setup right and could see some good ET's. what would you think she would run!!!!

Your best bet is to purchase tuning sofware and scan your truck to get it tuned. This way you can email your scan to a tuner and he can email you a tune back and forth. It is going to an sob to tune. Or take to a tuner's shop to get tuned. That mother is going to be a mother to get tuned.

that amount of lift might even be insignificant if your heads dont flow with lift that high. thats what too much cam for the 4.8 bigger isnt always better you are gonna sound like an indy car or something IF you ever got it tuned to run. im pretty sure with that much duration you might have to p/v clearance issue too. honestly i dont even think a 3800 stall would be enough man. for mye 224/228 i have a 3200(3400) stall i would say you would need to be touching 4000-4500 stall. but if you want to do it, have the patience and do it.
