Get the 3" so the exhaust shop can cut the stock muffler off and just slide the new muffler in the muffler inlet will go over the stock pipe otherwise they are going to have to butt weld it together or put another piece of pipe on there to connect the two.

Thanks, I just called Summit back and changed the order to the 3" I/O's. Oh yea, thanks for the info on the brakes Rock, at first I was upset about not having 4WDB, but I'm not going to be having any huge wheels showing off the brakes anyway.
One more thing, I had planned on driving it for 500-800 miles, then going to a full Synthetic oil like Castrol or Mobil. Ideas or suggestions would be welcomed.

Im currently using mobile-1 5w30 and I've also used Royal purple 5w30 and 15w30. They are both excellent and felt the difference right away with synthetic. Either one of those are great options.

I prefer to put more mileage on with conventional oil. Make sure the engine is good and broke in before changing to synthetic.

In my opinion, at least 5000 miles. First change around 500-600 miles, then a change around 2000, and normal intervals after that.

FWIW, I have had no problems with conventional Valvoline 10W-30.

Thanks, I'll wait a little later before I go Full-Syn. I'll be changing the oil this week-end, it'll have close to 500 on it before the weekend. Pic's are coming soon, I love this truck! It looks great and I haven't seen another one like it. I'm soooo glad I found one with the newer 17' wheels. I get my muffler from Summit tomorrow, this thing is super-quiet...for now. Do these engines all have noticable valvetrain noise? If they are anything like the Gen II LT-1 & 4's it's due to the thin valve covers, just wondering if it's normal? Thanks.

I have noticed some light ticking on mine since it was new. I never worry about it at all.
