now im a little confused here... i found 1 clip with a borla proxs (same thing as the turbo even carry same part number) on a 4.8 with stock manifolds and no cats and it seemed fairly quiet and very deep... which is what i want... but i just dont know how it can be so much quieter than what i have now... i have the 15 inch long 5 inch round borla xr1 with a 18 inch long bullet in front of it... so that is 32 inches of muffler... however i know that the bullet is very skinny in case size and so is the xr1... is my exhaust loud now because of these round case mufflers? will going to a 14x4.5x9.5 3 inch si/so center inlet offset outlet really do a better job than what i have now? does the borla turbo have a different perforated tube and internal packing than the xr1?

 

im running the borla proxs with stock manifolds and no cats, i love it! its real smooth at idle and cruising, but at WOT it sounds MEAN!

1in 1 out. so its a single. my friend has the same muffler but with hi flow cats dual in dual out it sounds pretty good too but mine sounds alot better because im catless

I think you'll be fine with any turbo thats around a 22" -24" case. No one can tell you what its going to sound like, every setup is a little different. I ran a LT ORY Loud mouth into a borla turbo on my TA and it sounded amazing. nice and tame when cruising, but it would wake up the neighbors at WOT. On my truck, I run a LT no cats true dual into a Magnaflow 18" case and its loud as all hell. Too loud.
