i am probably being overly optimistic, i can see .1-.2 with higher shift points and .1-.2 with no cats and cut out. plus i made about 30runs to get my best gtech time before and only 3 runs after so maybe another .1 with lots of runs, one of them are bound to be quicker.

it does drive nice with the tighter stall, i can just crank up the radio and drive it. no dieing when i turn it in a parking lot either , i just did a cold start and run some erands and there so far there are no cold start issues.

It's just a matter of it taking time to get the power band to start.

I'm sure 44 more cubic inches and a few pounds of boost would give that cam all the torque it needs.

Have you moved up your shift points yet? Did you install an adjustable timing chain? If so, advance that cam a few degrees to give your low end a boost and move the rpms down a little.

i moved the shift points from 6000 up to 6400 and the funny thing is it sounds like it is short shifting where before it sounded like it was reving high.

standard chain

can't wait for the turbo now, lots of TQ there and if it still lags out of the hole a 50shot will cure that.

Maybe you need a 6600 shift point,my 4.56 gears are sounding better all the time.

i am going right to 6800, it really is short shifting now. going to do cut out, cat delete, senthetic motor oil and 6800 shifts and see how that works. might get that done today yet but maybe not.

The 2.48 first gear is really hurting you with the cam and tightened up converter you're not shifting into second gear to almost 65 mph with a 6800rpm shift.

ok girls, i am geting some of my time back

before restall and cam i was at 13.37(no pasenger)
then with cam and restall and shift points up to 6400 i was at 14.08(no pasenger)

last night i got the cats off, bumped the shift to 6800, changed the oil to mobil 1, and put in the electric cut out.

with cut out closed i ran 2 13.8x(WITH A PASENGER!!! )
then opened the cut out and ran some inconsistant times, 13.4, 13.6, 13.7, 13.7, 13.8(WITH A PASENGER!!)

so, not realy sure where i am at right now, it is usualy very consistant but i am into some fueling issues now that are making it inconsistant. i am all the way up to 45lb's of air and my injector duty cycle is showing 108% with the cut outs open. i can see it going lean it the top of each gear(like 14-1) and geting alot of knock retard at the shift, diferent amounts of KR every run giving me inconsistant times.

that electric cut out is cool but i think it leaks a little too much, with anything other than a stock muffler i dont think you would hear it though. truck isn't much louder without the cats. lets just say i am running a 13.6 now, i am real happy with the considering my 60' times are in the upper 2.2's, i am close to where i was before with .3 slower 60' times, my mph is up about 4, gtech is showing 106mph but it is about 4 high from the track so i would say i am over 100mph trap speed. i bet it rip's when i spray it or beter yet boost it.

haven't looked at the gtech logs yet to see how the shift point(singular) looks but i am prety sure it isn't too high, doesn't even sound high. drop the pasenger and get the fuel right to avoid the KR completely, then hit is with a nice shot. woooo hooo, be a few days before i get that done. i bet with as much air as i am flowing now i can't hit it with more a 150anymore without runing our the fuel pump. i will have a little more info tomorow after i look at the logs and gtech's
