Ok so I ordered a new 2 row aluminum radiator, radiator hoses, 160* thermostat, and upper and lower intake manifold gaskets, think I should order a water pump too just to be safe? Take it all at once?

So I don't think I am going to need electric fans, I installed an aluminum radiator and a 160* stat and my car runs around 150. This pic I took was going up I-70 to the continental divide. I wasn't drivin nice either!

Hooker 2847-1HKR, I recall them being about $800.
The first things I did when I took them out of the box is drill holes in the collectors for O2 bungs, then EGR, and then AIR Injection! They're not intended for "smog legal" vehicles. hahaa

One of the primaries needed clearance for the steering shaft and the A/C lines for the rear air had to be moved on the passenger side. I also had to move the drake line that feeds the front passenger side, it was hitting near the frame o the driver side. Passenger side, the lowest primary contacts the rear A-Arm receiver. These cannot be installed without lifting the engine. Quite a pain, actually.... Some of these issues are related to use in a 1/2 ton chassis, but if you look at their specs they are advertised to work in half-ton trucks! So, bottom line, these are the best BBC headers for a GMT400 available, but there are "issues".

If you're looking for a set, I have a set of Hooker Ceramic Coated Smog-Legal Headers I bought for the 454. They would not work with the 1/2-ton chassis AT ALL it turned out. I tried installing them but couldn't. They include the crossover pipe. Never run - will sell for half new retail. Send PM if you're interested.
