I need traction!!! I have a locking diff, but i still spin of the line and when i hit the nitrous. It seems to be cuttin my times down quite a bit. What kind of tires do you guys recommend. I need something that will fit on 16's and that i can drive on the street with. I was thinking about the Nitto 450 Extreme, but im not sure. Will 245's be wide enough?

 

the only thing wider than that for a street/drag tire are the BFG drag radials. they have a 255/50/16 size.

 

I have 285/55/18 Pirelli Scorpions on my truck and I can not get it to spin much at all, it hooks up every time. I believe they are also made in a 16

 

Get the 16x11.50 ET streets and you can spray it out of the hole i promise with no tire spin, I DID

As Hyde says, the ETs will hook great but don't make much of a a good street tire. Running on DOT compounding and tread depth and low tire pressures make for some interesting driving especially if wet <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
