Default Best programer for my 03 6.0?

What is available & which produces the best gains?

I only know of the Hypertech. I'm sure there must be more. Would I be better off going to someplace local for a LS1 Edit tune on the dyno?

I've had tunes both from Westers and also Nelson Performance. Both are excellent guys that will treat you right. If you can, have someone tune at their shop with something like LS1 Edit. That would probably be best but might only get you .1 off your times.

Nelson Performance will probably be cheaper but it's been awhile since I've checked the prices from Westers.

Hope this helps.

Ive had both the hypertech and superchips tuners, and now im having Allen at Nelson Performance do my tuning. Both of the hand held tuners worked ok, but neither of them come close to a tune from Allen. He charges 425.00 for the tune, but if you need him to make any changes he will have another PCM out to you in a couple days.

Crane's got their new tuner out now. WE used one on my buddy's GMC with a cam install, the thing kicks ***! It gives you a lot of options to tune the truck, and reads trouble codes. It'll also let you take the computer back to stock in case you have to go to the dealership for anything.

Crane just got a new website, there's info on it there. Jeg's has got them for about $395 if your interested.
