Default Best mods for 04 2500HD 4X4 6.0 RC

Just trying to find out what the best mods bould be for my truck. I do quite a bit of towing and would like a little more torque. Trailer weighs about 7500lbs. I was leaning towards a cold air intake, but have seen mixed reviews on them. What would be the most economical mods for me? Thanks

well, you already have a cold air intake. the after market ones may flow a little more air but you don't really need it unless you have mods like a cam or s.c. underdrive pulleys will help somewhat and they're cheap. elec fans help some, they're not too expensive. i'd save you're money and get a blower or, or if power for towing is the major issue, get a gear splitter from gear vendors. it puts a gear in between all your gears so you don't have as much of a drop in rpms at shift. it's like the difference between a 5 speed bike and a 10 speed. plus you get a double overdrive which helps with fuel economy when your not towing. but they cost as much as a blower. e p.s oh yeah, if you tow like i do the gear between 3rd and od is what you really need most. if you find your reving 3rd but don't have quite the ***** to pull o.d that in itself is worth the price on a long haul. they should have them for our trucks by now, matter of fact i think i'll call tommorow. e
