Best bolt on mod
#12
My easiest and most power producing mod has to be the HPPIII. I just had my Yank converter installed last night and I am sure it is going to make a HUGE difference. I already went a 14.71 spinning thru first on the Gtech. However, at $700 and $100 I gave my brother in law to install it (a BIG favor he did me doing it for nothing but I had to give him something!) it was $500 more expensive then the Hypertech. I gained a half a second with the Hypertech, no BS! I do plan on moving up to LS1Edit, and am sure I can recoupe $200 back for the Hypertech on Ebay. That is why I think the HPPIII was my best (to date) mod. Now as for the RADIX, I agree, even sliced bread comes up short against that. And with the deals our sponsors are currently running on them (BlownChevy and TBRYNE), whats' not to like!!! Hopefully when I get my money together, the deals will be available again on the RADIX. That will be my next mod!

How did you all learn how to use LS1Edit? tables, maps, etc......I am too afraid i'd hose something. Is it really complicated? Basic instructions somewhere? I was over on LS1Tune and everybody already knows what they're talking about but that stuff (I'm a carbuerated Chev. BB guy by nature) is all new to me. I dont know where you all learned it. Just seems everyone uses it, claims it is fantastic but seems like everyone was born with the knowledge.
Is there an advantage of going with edit over, say, Nelson Performance or Westers?
Sorry for the newb. Q.

EDIT is kinda hard to learn to use but there are a number of useful documents and websites than can help alot
I would go with EDIT over a custom tune for one reason....YOU are doing the tuning, YOU control EVERYTHING.....and unless you screw it up REALLY BAD you won't break anything by being a hair off on the timing or fuel curves

I hoping once I get it I can ask the important questions as needed. I'm sure the guys on here will help out by sharing their own "tune up" info. So far, I haven't been let down yet!

A Radix is short for the Magnuson Radix Supercharger system. Talk to blownchevy or Tbyrne for details.
