finally put up enough money for a tranny, dont want to swap to a 4l80, its 4x4 and im tired of laying under the truck. What is everyones opinion and experience with 4l60 builders. take into consideration its a 6.0 with a btr stg 4 car cam, and trick flow heads in a single cab short bed. will be running a vigilante 3200 stall. I ate through the stock tranny in less than 10 miles (as expected, we had a bet to see how long itd last). looked at RPM, performabuilt, and FLT. just cant make a decision. budget is around 3000

 

Honestly you could do an 80e swap for the same price or less. Trust me don't faq around with that 60e.

 

Build your own or go 4l80....

 

I have a RPM Level-VI in both of my vehicles and they hold up but if you start pushing boost 4l80 is the way to go.
