Default Belt/pulley squeal that won't go away!

This started about 2 weeks ago when it started to really get cold here (oklahoma).. Had some small belt squeal issues before but a bit of tire shine or bar soap on the belt made it go away for months. Sometimes it squeals on me, other times it doesn't make a sound. Sometimes it only squeals when the engine is under load and gets quieter as I cruise or it idles. I've replaced belts, tensioner, idler pulley, and swapped alternators with another I had laying around. Nothing has fixed it. I can start the truck without a belt and there is no squeal. I have two different belts i'm using and it squeals with both of them on there. Last night, it threw the belt under a WOT pass at about 5500 rpm in second gear.

Only other thing I can think of is to pull the water pump pulley and put it back on to make sure its aligned right but it looks like there is a special tool needed.

I'm about to just set the truck on fire and drive it off a cliff I'm sure its something small that i'm missing, but I CANNOT find it.

After reading you've about changed everything but the water pump and balancer , I'd think your water pump is the culprit.

I can touch a bar of soap to the ribs of the belt and the squeal goes away instantly for a little bit.

mine does this as well but only above 5k rpm and I drop voltage so sounds like you have narrowed down to pump try scuffing of the paint on the pulley sometimes that works

Are you putting the soap on the ribbed side or the flat side?

Well that rules out the water pump pulley, run a straight edge off the crank pulley and see if any of them are out of alignment.

running a straight edge off the crank pulley, everything is flush except the P/S pump. its about 5mm out from the crank pulley. The lip on the front of the P/S pulley looks a little thicker than the rest of the pulley's though..

Ill try to remember and check tom. I can mic the spare set that I have and see what the offset is. I was thinking it was pretty close. 5mm is quite a bit.

visually, the P/S pump looks like its too far forward just a hair... looks like it take a special tool to take it off and press it back on.
