Default battery or starter?

the truck has no problem starting cold, as in, its been sitting all night... sometimes.

if i try to start it again after, say, i went into the store and came back out, it takes like 3 times, everytime to get it started again. whats up with this?...

If it acually turns the motor over but does not crank.. I would look more into a fuel or ignition problem. When was the last time you changed you fuel filter?

Also is it cranking at the regular speed or slow. If normal speed sounds like it is fuel related. Maybe the PCM is not sending the correct fuel mixture because it is thinking the engine is cold when it is warm. Could be a flakey coolant temp sensor??

if it cranks/turns over regular but does not start, I would check the Fuel Pressure regulator.

Driver side fuel rail under the hood. Gold in color round in shape with a vacume hose running too it.
