Long cheater bar over a half inch ratchet. I used a bar through the balancer to hold it, but I really don't like that method since it can and usually does warp or bend the balancer if you're not careful.

Need a better impact. The craftsman I have didn't budge mine. Theres some pics with people holding it with a big pry bar and using a cheater somewhere. Found them.

+1 Any good impact wrench should loosen the bolt without issues. Just keep rattling away until it comes off. Mine has 400 ft lbs in reverse.

i used two 1/2 impacts and a 3/4 impact and none of them got it, i tried beating on the breaker bar with a sledge hammer and my gf holding a pry bar on the balancer and that still didnt work. finally got it off when i got pissed off, used the breaker bar, a cheater pipe, gf holding the pry bar while i was jerking the engine all over the bed of my truck with the ratchet
