Default Which balancer?

I just bought a Dorman balancer for my 2003 silverado. Im installing an ls6 into the truck. When i installed the balancer, it slid right onto the crank snout with zero resistance. Shouldnt this be a tight fight, so that the pulley doesnt spin?

Should I return this dorman balancer and buy a different brand?

Says made in china on it...

It's supposed to be a press fit. China doesnt hold the best tolerances on any thing they manufacture. I would attempt to use an OE part and see if it fits correctly.

See if you can find a used one to try out. If this doesn't fit you might have an issue with the crank.
