I went to the Sport Truck Shootout in Bowling Green KY yesterday and although it was absolutely miserable heat wise, and the track was slicker than fresh ice, I still had a good time. I won 1st place in the 13.99 and quicker bracket (just like last year !!) That fact I am proud of. What I am not proud of is I got my *** handed to me BIG TIME by a Dodge diesel !!!
During time trials I got up against what I was later told is the fastest diesel street truck in the whole country. He left me in a cloud of black smoke, choking for air. He ran a 11.4x on that pass, but I saw him run an 11.20 at 120 against someone else. One guy said he has seen that truck go 10's (last weekend in Michigan somewhere)
Anyways, I didn't know they had the diesels running that good. I guess it shows you just never know what the guy in the other lane is packing....

GMC, My best was a 12.34 at 113, but that was spraying part of the run and on a 1.99 60ft-the track absolutely sucked. I flashed a "detuned" program in for the bracket racing and it went consistent 12.85's and 12.86's all day at around 106-107.

Congrats on the win L-Eater.
Those diesels can fool you. Saw a guy at MIR with a 3/4 or 1 ton 4wd Dodge, with a tool box behind the back window run a low 12. I about fell out of the stands. You would have never guessed that thing ran like that, until you saw the black smoke from the propane.
