Auto 4WD vs AWD
#2
awd is like a posi between the front and back, they are conected but will slip a little to avoid bindage.
auto4wd is a clutch pack that can kick in quickly. it is compltely open most of the time but when it senses slip it kicks in and grabs. it works fine for snow and stuff for racing it is not ideal. it waits to see slipage and then tries to grip rather than prevent any slipage at all. prety harsh when you start making some power.

I was in the rain once and noticed the *** end hop around then the front tires grabbed in Auto 4WD...I thought "WTF". lol Obviously AWD is smoother and superior.
Would it be possible to stick an AWD case on a vehicle that came with the AutoTrac one? Or is the wiring and what-not different?
