not to big by any means, just depends on what you want out of it. I had a similar cam in a 4.8L at one time with the right supporting mods it will be fine.

A little too big for a DD 4.8 IMO.

It is a pretty big cam, especially for his application. He would want a higher stall tq converter is his powerband will be way up there. His superchips would also have to be removed and a custom dyno tune would have to be performed. I do not even believe a simple mail order tune would suffice.

I would personally suggest a TR220 at biggest for a 4.8L motor.

if ya got a 3800-4000 stall it would be killer in the 7000 rpm range..haha ya might want to stick with a 212/218 duration cam or 216/220..even still that would need a 2800-3000 stall

Yes by many aspects it is too big, and with the right supporting mods anything will work, but "supporting mods" could involve spending $10 grand. As far as supporting mods he'd need(aside from longtubes and full exhaust, good dyno tune, etc) an ls6 intake, like a 4k torque converter and some 4.10's

Wow wouldn't have figured it would cam like that. My 216/224 114 in my 4.8 sounded similar.
