Are you planning a big FI or N2O setup?

If you're really planning to go big, get a stud kit. All the ones I've seen are 12 point. But a 6 point ARP bolt kit is almost as good, and plenty adequate for most FI builds. Either one is a huge upgrade over the stock stretch bolts. I've been running stock head bolts until recently on my truck, 170K miles on the setup.

What are your ultimate plans?

Woah 170k
and it's going to be on a boosted 4.8 that's going into a crew cab 1984 c20 with a TH400
But while the motor is out just put some head studs and call it a day. Boost will probably be around 5-9psi daily, but just to have peace of mind if i wanted to turn it up a bit. my brothers the kind that would say something like " i'm getting tired of this, i want more. lets see what this 4.8 can do and just push it to the limit."

That's my brothers truck, now my truck would be with the boosted 5.3 4l80
running around the same boost level daily but i wouldn't mind turning it up pretty high on track day

For those boost levels, bolts will be more than adequate. I went with studs because I'm planning 12-14 psi, and maybe a small shot of giggity juice once in a while.

Can't go wrong with the head studs. Some may call it "overkill", I call it "headroom".
