Default Anyone using a Kenne Bell supercharger on their 8.1?

I'm probably going to put a supercharger on my Silverado HD. The intercooled Whipple has been working VERY well on my Suburban so that is being considered. Vortech's kit isn't available for the 2002s yet so I probably won't be going that route. Kenne Bell's kit seems to be quiet a bit different than the Whipple. They upgrade all of the injectors instead of putting 2 in front of the intake. They also don't have the piggy back callibration that the Whipple uses so this may be another plus.

Anyone using one of these on an 8.1 (or other motor)? If so, what do you think and how loud is it?

Thanks,
Tom

2002 8.1 Silverado HD - Full Throttle lift, 37" tires, Comp Cam, TOG headers, Volant induction plus more!
2002 8.1 Suburban -Intercooled Whipple supercharger, 22" wheels/tires + more - 407hp/558 ft-lb torque at the rear wheels - 13.93 @ 95.79 MPH

Well I know the upgraded injectors and tuned PCM instead of the piggyback system is much better...

But I would think the intercooled twin-screw would be a better bet... especially if you could get allen to get you a tune for it and throw some injectors in...

And as far as how loud it is, I've heard that twin-screw's are quiet, but thats just what I have heard.

I've been thinking about going with the non-intercooled Whipple (only want about 100hp for now) and using the Kenne Bell injectors and programming package. This will probably make it good for about 115-120hp without going with a smaller pulley. I'm going to see if Whipple will sell their kit without all the wiring and piggy back system.

That would be nice, let us know if they'll let it go with their craptronics... It could save some people some cash.
