Anyone running the new thumper series cams from comp??

Im assuming thats why dirt/circle tracks are are usually on a 106 lsa. these type of cars are always at high rpm 6000-7500 rpm constatly

Yep the lower the LSA adds TQ and it also increases the overlap... LSA is kinda a win-win thing!!!

more lift on the intake means more available airflow.
Tight LSA and considerably longer exhaust duration than intake duration are more common with the older generation small blocks. In my opinion, that is a long duration cam for a 4.8L. I hope you have at least a 3500 stall and lots of gear.
