Default Anyone put a corvette exhaust on a truck?

Was looking at the factory zr1 exhaust and the replacement Corsa exhaust and they sound great. Was wondering if anyone had ever put one of these systems on a truck and how did it sound.

I always wandered too about using corvette mufflers on our trucks.

I absolutley love how they sound, especially the Z06.

That sound clip you posted sounds real good too,

I just thought since the piping was diff on a vette might help it have its own unique sound?? I hope not.

I bet if you just put a dual x pipe exhaust like the vettes it could sound the same... I have the 6.2 Denali factory cat back on my truck and sounds great but I really love that zr1 sound. Think im gonna have to try one out. Only thing im worried about is the sound not fitting the vehicle and the tips not looking right under the rear bumper.

the vette kits are completely different, theres no way you could even remotely get one to fit correctly without hacking it all up and welding it back together. a vette sounds like a vette because...its a vette. i doubt you can get any truck with a stock motor to sound even close to the way a corvette sounds but good luck. id say just order a corsa cat back designed for your truck and be happy with it.

the key to the sound, much like mustangs, is a true dual equal length system.

What ^^he^^ said, and the mufflers as well. I had a cadillac sts once with corsa mufflers on it and you would have thought it was a freakin corvette under the hood!

That's what I have. With (2) 22" magnaflows and (2) magnaflow resonators (race mufflers) right before my tips. Sounds deep, mellow and smooth. No pitchy whine or other obnoxious noise. I've been meaning to get a clip for you guys but I'm starting the teardown for my new AFR heads/cam build

With my LS1 install a Corvette exhaust was the first thing I thought of...until I remembered what the Corvette mufflers looks like. My plan now is to build an entire new exhaust from the shorties back with dual pipes all the way back and exit both pipes behind the passenger wheel. My current setup is duals thae exit behind the right and left tire, I would miss this look but a Avalanche that sounds like a Vette would be much cooler.

how did you get a true equal length? remove the gas tank? what i mean by true equal is no crossover y pipe or even a cross behind the trans for an x.
